ELATION

WAVE formed an early partnership with the architect to collaboratively design a visually and audibly appealing room. By closely working with both the architect and the client, we designed the room's acoustics to allow for concrete walls and floors. We incorporated three levels of seating using a sloped slab on grade, maximizing the room's capacity while minimizing the required floor space. This smart design choice not only saved the church money but also created an optimal setting for gatherings.

"Our process with WAVE really began at the inception of this building. They collaborated with our architects, GC's, EC's, and building this room right from the beginning.  They helped us think through all the things we could do to avoid costs at the back end, and actually build a room right the first time."

- Luke Gaikwad, Director of AVL Systems, Seacoast Church

SUMMARY

As the multi-site church was growing rapidly, they needed to expand their original campus in a small footprint. his 2,500 seat project included immersive audio, video, lighting and active acoustics that allowed them to provide each seat with a matched experience. It also allowed the Mount Pleasant location to live broadcast to several of their other 13 campuses throughout the southeast.

THE SOLUTION

WAVE designed a new audio system and new acoustic solution using immersive processing, acoustic panels, and loudspeakers. The new design brought balance and energy throughout the auditorium and a full stereo mix experience in every seat without any hot spots. The latest immersive technology allows their audio engineer to create an ideal acoustical environment for each sound source on stage, individually. Lush reverberation can support a vocalist while controlled early reflections make a guitar sound “larger than life”.

KEY FEATURES

Fulcrum Immersive’s Venueflex Processor and acoustic panels, Catalyst cabling system, Artisan broadcast furniture, ROE Visual LED wall, and Adamson loudspeakers.

THEIR STORY

“WAVE came alongside us to create a space where people can have a great experience, no matter where they sit. That's an important thing for churches to accomplish - no matter how many seats they have in their venue. I have so much confidence mixing in this space because I know that I'm not fighting the room to get the sound I want. I can mix from FOH and know that everyone in the sanctuary is hearing the same thing, and I can use that same mix for our broadcast mix.”
